Welcome to Old Alley Gifts in Historic York South Carolina.
Welcome to York South Carolina. These streets echo with the sounds of history. General Jefferson Davis escaped down Congress Street as the Confederacy collapsed in May of 1865 passing by this very location. At that time our building did not exist; rather it was an "Alley- Way" which was used to move livestock into town for public auction. Thus the name "Old Alley". On quiet nights, my sister and I believe we still hear the sounds of the Old South as the cattle is moved into town for sale and the sounds of the leather boots of the Confederate Soldiers that once walked these streets.
As we moved into our new location, we decided to keep the name Old Alley. We are now located in one of the historical building of downtown York. Stop by and see us and browse through three rooms of unique gifts, many made by local artist. We are also a proud distributor of WILLOW TREE collectible figures and ALEXANDRIA Scented Lamps & Oils.
We have also added many more local artist and their crafts.
Just recently, Old Alley Gifts & Handcrafts has acquired the Snack Shop 2, and we are now serving hot & cold foods, as well as BLUE BELL HAND DIPPED ICE CREAM. Gifts & Food all at the same great location and the same warm SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY.
